HotWaterUpgrades is a New Zealand hot-water platform. We help homeowners, landlords, property managers and businesses understand their options and connect with suitable independent service providers in their area.
What we do
Hot water is one of the biggest energy users in a New Zealand home, and one of the most disruptive things to lose. When a cylinder fails, a califont stops firing, or a household starts thinking about heat pump hot water, the hardest part is usually knowing where to begin.
We publish clear, practical information about the options available in New Zealand, and we make it simple to request help. You describe your system, your property and your timeframe once, and your enquiry can be passed to a suitable independent provider covering your area.
What we don't do
HotWaterUpgrades is a connection and referral platform. We do not install hot-water systems, carry out plumbing, gasfitting or electrical work, perform repairs, complete inspections, or issue trade quotations. We do not operate branches and we do not employ technicians around the country.
All work is carried out by independent service providers who quote directly, hold their own qualifications and licences, and are responsible for their own workmanship.
How enquiries are handled
When you submit a request, the details you provide are recorded with an enquiry reference and matched to providers based on your location and the type of work required. You'll receive a confirmation, and a suitable provider may contact you using your preferred contact method.

Our position on advice
We deliberately avoid absolute claims about which system is best. The right hot-water solution depends on the property, household demand, available space, energy connections and budget. Our content is intended to help you ask better questions — the final assessment should always come from a qualified professional who has seen the property.
